As a **Global Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist – Level 2 or Level 3,** you'll be crucial to missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is located in **Promontory, UT** and does require you to be in the office 3 days a week **.**
Job Description:
+ Manages and develops strategic/key suppliers.
+ Manages performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations
+ In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules
+ Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users
+ Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations
+ Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation and warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded
+ Forecasts, reviews, and approves supplier payment as needed
+ Candidate will attend program meetings and may be required to present to groups
+ Must be able to work independently and have strong organizational skills
Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in Subcontracts, Contracts, or Business/Project Management – OR – a Master’s degree. Will consider an additional 4 + years of Subcontracts experience in lieu of a degree
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in Subcontracts, Contracts, or Business/Project Management – OR – Master’s degree and 3 + years of relevant experience in Subcontracts, Contracts or Business/Project Management. Will consider an additional 4 + years of Subcontracts experience in lieu of a degree
Additional Basic Qualifications for both levels:
+ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
+ Demonstrated interpersonal and people leadership skills; ability to leverage professional relationships
+ Proven multitasking ability; resilience when faced with multiple deadlines and competing priorities
+ Knowledge of the government acquisition process with a strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency supplements, such as Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS), NASA (NFS)
Preferred Qualification:
+ Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Finance preferred
+ Negotiation skills and experience with high-dollar contracts
+ Self-Starter with problem solving skills
+ Detail oriented, strategic thinking, and analytical
+ Ability to mentor other subcontract professionals of varying levels of experience
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Primary Level Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
