    About the Role

     

    As a Consulting Principal – Property & Casualty Insurance, you will make an impact by leading transformation initiatives for our insurance clients, focusing on business and technology challenges within the Property & Casualty (P&C) sector. You will be a valued member of the Insurance Consulting team and work collaboratively with clients, your primary team, and other stakeholders.

    In this role, you will:

    + Lead consulting teams to deliver business advisory and strategic insights for Property & Casualty insurance clients, with a focus on claims transformation, underwriting, policy, billing, and claims management.

    + Facilitate client workshops and communicate effectively with both IT and business stakeholders to drive consensus and actionable outcomes.

    + Develop comprehensive recommendations based on market and industry trends, client needs, and emerging technologies.

    + Identify and mitigate engagement risks, ensuring successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

    + Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust and long-term partnership.

    + Consistently demonstrate the Cognizant Way to Lead, operating with personal, organizational, and business leadership.

     

    Work Model

     

    This position requires up to 80% travel to client sites across the United States. We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs.

    What you must have to be considered

    + 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry, either in consulting or as an industry practitioner, with a focus on Property & Casualty.

    + 5+ years of experience with a management consulting firm.

    + Proven experience leading large P&C insurance core system transformation projects, including Guidewire and/or Duck Creek solutions.

    + Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business/Management preferred.

    + Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

    + Demonstrated leadership style that motivates, delegates, influences, and develops future leaders.

    + Strong sense of urgency, creativity, and decisiveness, with the ability to work under pressure.

    + Analytical and pragmatic approach to solving complex business issues.

    + Ability to establish immediate credibility among peers and clients, respected for intelligence and technical expertise.

    + Willingness to travel up to 80%.

    Compensation

     

    + $165,000 - $194,000

     

    + This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans
