Job Title: Programmer Analyst I
Department: MIS
Reports To: SharePoint & Integrations Supervisor

Summary: As a member of the Martin's Family, the Programmer Analyst I is part of a team that reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including coding, testing, debugging, installing and documenting to support Martin's application systems. The PA I consults with users to identify current procedures and to clarify and help identify enhancements or new development requirements. The PA I will triage issues and investigate failed jobs to resolve impacting issues. A bachelor's degree in a related area and 0-3 years of experience in the field is required. This position has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on experience and judgment to perform the functions of the job. The PA I will performs a variety of tasks, work under general supervision and report to the Applications Development Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Provide support and maintenance for all MIS applications.
+ Develop custom applications using Martin’s approved coding languages and tools
+ Assist in the development of interfaces between control and information software.
+ Works with Project Managers as a development resource, meeting timelines and deliverables as assigned.
+ Develop ad-hoc reports on an as needed basis.
+ Assist in the installation of software patches, service packs, and updates.
+ Act as liaison between MIS and other Departments.
+ Follow and adhere to Martin’s SDLC
+ Utilize software tools for documentation and communication.
+ Assist in development, testing, and deployment of handheld devices.
+ Cooperate in the development of and adherence to high quality standards and goals.
+ Provide on-call support on an as needed basis.

Education and/or Experience:
+ BA/BS in Information Technology or related field. Prior technological experience a plus.
+ SharePoint experience is a plus.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities:
+ Good understanding of programming fundamentals.
+ Ability to interact with all levels of staff and managers required.
