    We have an outstanding Contract position for an Inspectorto join a leading Company located inGarden City, NY.

     

    Pay Rate: $26-$32

     

    Schedule: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Responsible for first piece inspection, in-process and final products using open set-up, CMM and inspection methods and techniques in accordance with drawing requirements and specifications. Good communication skills, able to read and follow work instructions and quality procedures.

    + Read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings using geometric dimensioning and tolerances, including an understanding of maximum material conditions.

    + Inspect detailed parts and assemblies per drawing requirements and specs using standard measuring equipment.

    + Prepare and maintain inspection reports.

    + Program and/or operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine.

    + Perform Hardness testing.

    + Collect and tabulate data for SPC use.

    + Review Supplier F.A.I.R./Generate First Article Reports per AS9102.

    + Other duties as directed by the management.

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + 3-5 Years of mechanical inspection and aerospace experience.

    + Post high school education in math, engineering, inspection techniques or related fields a plus.

    + Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and Word.

    + Interpret drawing requirements/specs and geometric dimensions and tolerances.

    + Familiar with MIL, NAS, MS, AMS, AWS and AS specifications and standards.

    + PCDMIS programming skills.

    + Familiar with special process specifications for heat treat, welding, and non-destructive testing.

    + Equipment Used:

    + Vernier calipers.

    + Micrometers.

    + Height Gauges.

    + CMM machines.

    + Other standard measuring tools/instruments.
