Job Summary
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll administration, including payroll processing, general ledger recognition, reporting, and compliance. This position works collaboratively with the Human Resources team to Paycom, which serves as the organization’s integrated payroll, HRIS, and applicant tracking system (ATS). The Payroll Administrator plays a key role in ensuring data integrity, system configuration, and process optimization across departments.
Role and Responsibilities
+ Process a timely, accurate, and confidential weekly payroll, paying approximately 550 employees, using Paycom.
+ Maintains accurate employee records within the payroll system, ensuring data integrity, up-to-date reporting structures, confidentiality, compliance with record retention, and adherence to federal and state regulations
+ Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance workflow, reduce errors, eliminate inefficiencies, and standardize payroll and administrative procedures
+ Ensures compliance with company employment policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll and benefits administration
+ Prepares and manages year-end payroll reporting accurately and on time
+ Responds to employee inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues promptly and professionally
+ Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements and Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred Human Resources or Accounting and/or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in Payroll and Benefits Administration and Payroll
+ 3-5 years of payroll processing experience
+ Experience with one or more HR Payroll systems
+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments, particularly with Human Resources, to ensure alignment in payroll, benefits, and system administration processes.
+ Keen attention to detail, strong initiative, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
+ Superb customer service and interpersonal skills.
+ Previous experience working within the long term care industry a plus
+ Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality when dealing with personal information, compensation, and benefit information
+ Effectively resolve problems using independent judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or law
+ Ability to properly handle confidential and sensitive information and material
+ Advanced analysis and reporting skills preferred
+ Excellent proficiency within Microsoft Excel
