    The Position

    The Roche/Genentech Pharma Product Development Global Clinical Operations (PDG) team is driven to transform drug development to deliver 20 transformative medicines by 2029. Join our Clinical Sourcing & Partnerships (CSP) function as the Enterprise Clinical Service Provider Lead to drive the strategic management and performance of enterprise-wide clinical service provider categories. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in global supplier management to directly impact the success of our global product development and early research programs.

     

    The Opportunity

     

    You will be accountable for the management, performance, delivery, and oversight of end-to-end, enterprise-wide clinical service categories (e.g., CRO, IxRS, eCOA, Labs). This role is a key driver in optimizing Clinical Operations service providers across Roche and Genentech Business Units.

     

    + Own supplier governance and comprehensive oversight, inclusive of the supplier issue management /escalation process across the clinical operations functions.

    + Develop and execute strategic sourcing models for suppliers in specific clinical operations categories (CRO, IxRS, eCOA, etc).

    + Establish comprehensive financial oversight with Global Procurement to optimize spend and deliver cost efficiencies, including advanced service provider budget benchmarking and change order oversight.

    + Lead and facilitate governance meetings and health checks with service providers to review performance and quality indicators, fostering robust, productive global partnerships.

    + Collaborate with complex and broad stakeholders across the organization (including Clinical Science, Data Science, Safety, Regulatory, Clinical Operation functions and more) to proactively address business needs (cost, speed, quality) in management of various service providers.

     

    Who you are

     

    You are an expert, advanced in your career, with a proven track record of developing and nurturing highly successful global supplier partnerships. You can balance complex needs with overarching business goals to forge highly effective relationships.

     

    + You possess 8+ years of relevant experience in strategic supplier performance management in clinical development, or extensive direct experience working with clinical suppliers in performance management at a study and portfolio level.

    + You have exceptional communication and advanced negotiation abilities, with extensive experience in strategically managing complex partnerships.

    + You demonstrate exemplary relationship management and influential stakeholder management capabilities that span multiple business and organizational units to drive and influence results.

    + This specific job posting is focused on the Clinical Research Organization (CRO) category area. Expertise within this category will be required per the details in the job description.

    + You have expertise and direct experience in the specified category for this role, understanding the inner workings of these services, the supplier landscape and best practices around sourcing strategies and performance management (e.g. KPI’s, KQI’s, etc)

    + You exhibit exceptional and strategic decision-making skills, capable of weighing complex short- and long-term impacts that significantly affect the business.

    + A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Life Sciences, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, Master's in Healthcare Management) or relevant professional certifications are preferred.
