Dietary and Food Supervisor Do you have strong leadership skills, experience in dietary supervision, and want to work for a company that positively impacts the well-being of the individuals it serves? In the Dietary and Food Supervisor role, you will help this company in its commitment to serve others by preparing and serving nutritious, attractive meals and meeting individual consumers’ dietary restrictions and preferences. + Provide necessary staff development and training to Dietary Aides to ensure meals are prepared and served following established policies and procedures + Manage ordering, inventory control, and vendor relationships to ensure quality ingredients, cost efficiency, and appropriate stock levels. Conduct regular inventory counts and monitor food costs. + Monitor food service staff to ensure that they follow established safety and sanitary regulations and procedures in the use of equipment and supplies; in compliance with ServSafe. + Supervise kitchen staff across both locations. Train, coach, and evaluate employees to ensure high performance, teamwork, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. Coordinate scheduling and coverage based on census needs. + Serve as a working manager—able to fill in as cook when needed and lead by example during busy times or staff shortages. + Investigate all on-the-job injuries by department employees and implement corrective measures where appropriate + Ensure a sanitary and functional working environment + Implement daily menus and approve substitutions according to dietary prescriptions + Maintain inventory of department food, supplies, and equipment + Control supply and equipment use to meet the budget available + Assist in determining appropriate staffing levels; make termination recommendations to the Administrator + Orient and train staff in proper work practices when they are hired; conduct and evaluate retraining and refresher training + Ensure that meals are prepared according to the prescribed diet plan and are delivered at acceptable temperatures _Qualifications:_ + Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or related field preferred; **Bachelor’s degree preferred** + Minimum 3 years of related experience required + **ServSafe Manager Certification required** **(or ability to obtain within 90 days)** + Proven ability to manage staff, coordinate multiple kitchens or sites, and maintain regulatory compliance + Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills + Supervisory experience preferred, current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services + Exceptional attention to detail and effective communication skills + Compassionate and reliable approach, with a genuine commitment to participant well-being _Why Join Us?_ + Full compensation/benefits package for full-time employees. + 401(k) with company match + Paid time off and holiday pay + Work with some of the best co-workers you could ask for and see your impact on the lives of those individuals we serve + Career development and advancement opportunities across a nationwide network We have meaningful work for you – come join our team –** **_Apply Today!_ Sevita is a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care.
