    Job Description

    A large financial organization is seeking a Software Engineer – Quality Engineering III (SDET) that will sit hybrid onsite in Cincinnati Ohio or possibly fully remote for a long term contract. As part of a cross-functional agile squads, chapter and Agile Release Train (ART), a Software Development Engineer in Test’s (SDET) primary role is to provide thought leadership within the Quality Engineering discipline as well as ensuring quality through delivery of test automation best practices. Their primary responsibility will be to ensure testing coverage for customer identity authorization by doing backend testing of PING, OKTA, and other authorization services linked to the customer facing web and mobile applications.

     

    Responsibilities include developing new test automation frameworks using various automation tools, maintaining existing test automation code with a high degree of quality, leveraging strong software design and test automation principles, and using personal ingenuity and creativity to find new ways to test software solutions.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    6+ years of experience in test automation writing test scripts with Java, javascript or typescript (might consider python)

    5+ years of experience testing APIs, UI and integrations

    Experience testing in Identity and Authorization space (PING, OKTA, Active Directory, etc.)

     

    Experienced testing UI and APIs

     

    Experience using postman/Newman for testing API

     

    Experience with Selenium WebdriverIO, Hurl or Playwrite

     

    Behavior Driven Development (BDD)

    Experience with accessibility testing

    Quality Engineering certifications (ISTQB, SAFe QE, etc.)
