Summary About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain half way between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off of Interstate 20. The depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees. Responsibilities Plan on a weekly, monthly or longer basis the overall use of personnel, equipment and other resources to accomplish work requirements. Develop plans and monitor the status of the work in relation to the overall schedule requirements, including unanticipated or emergency requirements. Adjust plans, assignments, and resources as necessary to maintain balance workloads and accomplish work as effectively and economically as feasible. Investigate grievances and complaints, resolves them informally through discussion with employee(s) and union representatives, and notifies superiors of those of a serious nature. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an PRODUCTION MACHINERY MECHANIC SUPERVISOR without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common scheduled duties in overseeing workers involved in maintenance, repair, modification, and installation of industrial production equipment. Maintain production reports and update data in computer systems. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading) Ability to Lead or Supervise Ability to Meet Deadline Dates under Pressure Ability to Plan and Organize Work Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a Material Maintenance Management Career Field position. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
