    AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

     

    AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years.

     

    The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases.

    The role you'll contribute:

    The CVO Credentials Coordinator provides essential verification and quality control functions to support the West Florida Region's goals for credentialing health care providers while ensuring adherence to corporate, legal, regulatory and delegated requirements. Ensures all duties are performed in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and compliant with professional, regulatory and legislative requirements.

    The value you'll bring to the team:

    Populates, updates, and verifies the correctness and completeness of database information on an ongoing basis.

     

    Coordinates and provides administrative support for processing, verifying, and maintaining credentialing information for new applicants and re-applicants to all hospital sites.

     

    Performs and tracks primary source and other required verifications for all applicants according to established policies and procedures.

     

    Responds to customer inquiries and resolves problems within established policies and procedures.

     

    Prepares and provides client advisory reports, including status reports, expired items reports, and completed file reports to meet contractual time frames.

     

    Uses critical thinking skills to flag incongruent issues or information during credentialing and data entry tasks.

     

    Manages the integrity of the credentialing database and appropriateness of hard copy information received and provided to contracted entities.

    The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:

    + **Minimum qualifications** :

    + High School Graduate or Equivalent required

    + 1 years of credentialing work experience - required

    + Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) - preferred
