Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Systems Engineer\. In this role, you will support working with LM product suppliers and LM teams to plan, develop, produce and sustain Electro Optical Subsystems \(Hardware, Software and Firmware\) on different platforms\. The successful candidate will have experience with engineering/technical project planning, analysis, problem solving, technical writing and communications\. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance\. This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. Basic Qualifications: • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in electro\-optical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, system engineering, electronic engineering, computer engineering, electro\-optics, photonics or a related engineering discipline • Willing to travel • Strong organizational skills \- ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to identify and resolve task conflicts and issues Desired Skills: • Fundamental understanding of Electro Optical, Infrared and/or Laser Systems with experience integrating those systems • Professional and interpersonal communication skills required to interface with individuals from various disciplines while performing complex serial and parallel tasks • Demonstrated ability to deal with highly complex and challenging electronic systems • Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\. **Clearance Level:** Secret Other Important Information You Should Know **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\.
