THE OPPORTUNITY Lead a team of software engineers developing server firmware and embedded software solutions that power AWS's global infrastructure. Your team will drive innovation in data center technology, directly impacting millions of AWS customers worldwide.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and grow a team of software engineers developing infrastructure solutions • Drive development of embedded software and firmware for AWS fleet, including:
- BIOS
- BMC (Baseboard Management Controller)
- Storage solutions
- Power and battery systems
• Own strategic vision and tactical execution from concept to launch
• Partner across AWS to enable rapid development of next-generation devices
• Drive technical decisions that impact AWS's bottom line and customer experience
IMPACT
• Shape the future of cloud computing
• Influence AWS's competitive advantage in the public cloud market
• Drive innovations that benefit millions of AWS customers
• Lead development of custom hardware solutions at unprecedented scale
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams
- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $198,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $342,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
