The Senior Program Manager, Integrated Promotion Planning, will oversee the approach, management, and evolution of promotional planning at WFM. This is a critical role in how we develop our integrated merchandising and marketing promotions and features planning tools, and will need to partner with Product, Merchandising, Marketing, Analytics, Data Operations, Legal, Data Tech, and Data Science to ensure all business needs are understood, refined to business requirements for the tool, and appropriately prioritized and planned on the product roadmap. This role will serve as the business owner to lead and facilitate process development and change management supporting the merchandising and marketing organizations in adoption of the tool and integrated planning. This role will report to the Senior Leader of Pricing Strategy.
Key job responsibilities
• Spearhead the strategic direction and evolution of Promotion Planning Tools, serving as the key business owner representing diverse stakeholders including Merchants, Marketers, Data Operators, and support roles.
• Drive the transformation and optimization of WFM's promotional planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market trends.
• Develop a deep understanding of complex business requirements to champion 'Go to Market' Promotions planning, translating stakeholder needs into actionable strategies.
• Lead and execute a robust prioritization framework for tool enhancements, feature developments, and critical data needs, ensuring a customer-first approach in go-to-market strategy activation.
• Cultivate and maintain high-level partnerships with project sponsors, effectively managing expectations and fostering clear communication channels with all stakeholders.
• Strategically build and nurture vital business relationships across the organization to drive project success and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve significant, complex, business-critical, or sensitive issues, demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Exemplify thought leadership by driving meaningful organizational change through strategic partnerships, effective program review meetings, and establishing standardized approaches to prioritization and system requirements.
• Orchestrate the successful integration of merchandising and marketing enhancements, ensuring seamless alignment with overall business objectives.
• Leverage data-driven insights and industry best practices to continuously improve promotional planning tools and processes, maximizing efficiency and effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
