    Job Title: SuperintendentJob Description

     

    The Superintendent position will manage and control field operations on assigned projects, including site safety, planning, productivity, scheduling, quality control, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers. The Superintendent will maintain customer relations, promote company values, and work in conjunction with the project team.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure processes are effectively managed and executed.

    + Schedule, order materials, manage equipment care, plan the job, understand and manage daily man-hours, and conduct daily huddles and planning.

    + Lead and coordinate internal teams, focusing on life balance, employee development, job site presence, and time management.

    + Coordinate logistics, customer care, and relationships with owners, general contractors, and subcontractors.

    + Stay current on new construction means and methods.

    + Ensure adherence to safe work practices for all employees and subcontractors.

    + Participate in all project planning meetings, including Kick-off, Project Progress, Exit Strategy, and Post Project Review Meetings.

    + Create and communicate short-interval look-ahead project schedules that meet project milestones.

    + Communicate material, equipment, and labor needs to the project manager.

    + Maintain daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and e-mail correspondence.

    + Ensure accurate reporting of production and manage self-performed activities within the project budget, production, and schedule.

    + Understand the Contract Scope of Work and identify changes.

    + Proactively identify and resolve problems through the RFI process.

    + Coordinate with the client’s on-site representatives and ensure compliance with quality standards.

    + Direct and manage the workloads of supporting staff, including training and mentoring.

    + Schedule inspections and ensure quality aspects of the work are documented.

    + Manage the punch list and project closeout process to ensure timely completion.

    + Ensure projects comply with local, state, and Federal Standards, as well as current plans and specifications.

    Essential Skills

    + Expertise in construction management, civil construction, and site development.

    + Strong client communication and interaction skills.

    + Experience in sitework, utilities, grading, and construction supervision.

    + Proficiency in project management, planning, and scheduling.

    + Familiarity with commercial construction and technology tools such as Heavyjob, Viewpoint, Procore, and iAuditor.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with heavy civil construction processes.

    + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

    + Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

    + Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Detail-oriented and organized.

    + Positive, team-oriented attitude.

    + Openness to personal and professional training and development.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Concord, North Carolina.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
