Job Title: Staff Pharmacist
Overview:
We’re looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our hospital-based pharmacy team. This role focuses on ensuring safe and effective medication management, supporting clinical pharmacy services, maintaining compliance, and contributing to patient care and education.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Review and verify physician orders for accuracy and potential drug interactions
+ Prepare and dispense medications according to hospital protocols
+ Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of all pharmaceuticals
+ Provide drug information and therapeutic recommendations to medical staff
+ Monitor patient responses and collaborate with prescribers to adjust therapy as needed
+ Participate in patient care rounds and interdisciplinary meetings
+ Maintain compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations
+ Support medication safety initiatives and adverse event reporting
+ Document pharmaceutical care activities accurately
+ Assist with inventory management and stock control
+ Use pharmacy systems and automated dispensing technologies effectively
+ Support formulary management and cost-containment efforts
+ Educate patients and caregivers on medication regimens when appropriate
+ Mentor pharmacy technicians, interns, and residents
+ Stay current with pharmacy practices through continuing education
Qualifications:
+ Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution
+ Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in Arizona
+ Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
+ Experience with Cerner and acute care settings
+ Strong understanding of the full medication use process
Preferred Qualifications:
+ PGY1 or PGY2 residency training
+ Therapeutic expertise
+ RPh certification
Work Environment & Schedule:
This role is based in an inpatient hospital pharmacy. The schedule rotates between central shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) and second shifts (11:30 AM – 10:00 PM), typically working 3–4 days followed by 1–3 days off before switching shifts.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
