    Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to develop and implement detailed project plans, ensuring the successful completion of engineering requests and providing valuable technical resources to our production departments. This role involves managing a range of projects from small-scale upgrades to significant heavy equipment enhancements.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.

    + Design mechanical systems and components for new installations, upgrades, and modifications to existing equipment.

    + Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to determine project viability.

    + Provide technical support and expertise in mechanical engineering to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment.

    + Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

    + Select appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies for project implementation.

    + Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, electrical engineers, and construction personnel, to achieve project goals.

    + Evaluate and select vendors and contractors for project execution.

    + Prepare technical specifications, request for proposals (RFPs), and bid evaluations.

    + Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards.

    + Ensure all projects adhere to quality control standards and safety regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven project management skills.

    + Strong mechanical and project engineering capabilities.

    + Experience in heavy industry and process documentation.

    + Proficiency in process design.

    + Minimum five years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the mining or metallurgical industry.

    + Proven experience in managing capital projects from conception to completion.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

    + Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and materials used in a Process Manufacturing Facility.

    + Proficiency in engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS.

    + Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical engineering and project management.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Clarksville, Tennessee.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
