Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our team as a General Production Worker, where you will be actively involved in completing various rotations within the bakery production line. Your tasks may include wrapping, boxing, organizing breads, removing/depaning bread, loading/unloading molds, cutting bread, and operating within the oven and rail line areas. This role demands quick adaptability and physical agility due to the fast-paced nature of the environment.

Responsibilities

+ Stand for extended periods.

+ Perform repetitive tasks using hands, arms, back, and other body parts.

+ Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packaging and product handling.

+ Work efficiently to maintain high productivity levels.

+ Demonstrate a basic understanding of bakery operations and safety procedures.

+ Work collaboratively as part of a team.

+ Show strong hand-eye coordination for precise packaging and sorting.

+ Manage the physical demands of lifting and moving products.

+ Adapt to varying tasks throughout the shift.

+ Engage in areas such as Packing, Deposit, De-panning, Loading/Unloading, Cleaning, and Icing.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to stand for long periods.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ High productivity levels.

+ Basic understanding of bakery operations.

+ Teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong hand-eye coordination.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in food processing is preferred.

+ Open to candidates with a retail (stocking) background.

Work Environment

Work in a large industrial bakery that can be very warm, especially during the summer days. The production floor primarily communicates in Spanish. Be aware of potential allergens such as peanuts, almonds, and walnuts. Employees are provided with necessary attire including smog coats, boots, and hair/beard nets. Boots are reused but sanitized daily. The shift hours are from 3 PM to 11:30 PM with additional overtime opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Escondido, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
