Job Title: Warehouse Specialist

Job Description

The Order Fulfillment position is responsible for picking, inspecting, and packaging instrument orders, as well as preparing and marking surgical instruments as required. This role involves handling surgical instruments, which are not usually heavy, though they may become heavier when packed in larger boxes. The position operates under the supervision of the Inventory Manager, with a transition planned to a Warehouse Manager by the end of 2025 due to new equipment automation. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00AM-4:30PM, onsite in St. Paul, MN.

Responsibilities

+ Pick, inspect, and package instrument orders.

+ Prepare and mark surgical instruments as necessary.

+ Utilize shipping software and SAP for order processing.

+ Work in a cleanroom environment, adhering to full gown processes.

+ Use kanban systems for inventory management.

+ Conduct cycle counting and inventory management.

+ Handle material and operate a forklift when required.

+ Transport items to the warehouse across the street.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with packaging and order picking.

+ Proficiency in inventory management and cycle counting.

+ Knowledge of shipping software and SAP.

+ Ability to operate within a kanban system.

+ Team player with material handling skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School diploma or GED.

+ Capability to produce detailed, high-quality products.

+ Comprehension of verbal and written instructions.

+ Physical ability to stand, stoop, stretch, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

The position is based in a medical device packaging company, operating within a full cleanroom environment that requires a specific gowning process. Employees work with computers and are expected to wear appropriate attire to maintain the sterile conditions necessary for packaging medical products. The role requires physical activity, including standing and lifting, and involves occasional travel to a nearby warehouse.
