Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Machine Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for operating one of twenty presses in a manufacturing environment. You will work collaboratively in teams, ensuring safety measures are followed and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

+ Operate one of the twenty presses in a manufacturing environment.

+ Work in teams of up to four to place raw materials on the press.

+ Ensure safety by adhering to protocols, including placing hands on sensors before operating presses.

+ Visually inspect parts produced from the press for quality assurance.

+ Use gauges to verify parts meet specifications.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

+ Consistent and steady job history.

+ Wearing steel-toed boots for safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in steel or stamping operations is preferred.

+ Any prior press operation experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The facility is a metal stamping company supporting the automotive and heavy equipment industries. It is a loud, non-temperature-controlled environment that can get hot during the summer months. Employees enjoy a laid-back culture, wearing jeans and steel-toed boots. While the company is a UAW Union environment, joining the union is optional.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of **Bluffton, Indiana** .

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.48 - $19.48/hr.
