Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our team. This role involves working on a rotating 12-hour shift, alternating between days and nights within the same month. The position plays a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing and distribution processes run smoothly, especially in the bagging, palletizing, and shipment of products.

Responsibilities

+ Bag and palletize product according to instructions and order types.

+ Vacuum large quantities of product from storage holders into industrial bags.

+ Sort bags and pallets of product.

+ Stage and wrap pallets.

+ Load and unload shipments.

+ Perform quality inspections on bags, pallets, and containers.

+ Operate forklifts to assist in the shipping and receiving processes.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ year of industrial experience.

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ Experience in manufacturing, general labor, and production work.

+ Proficiency in palletizing, staging, and lifting.

+ Forklift operation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in general production and bagging.

Work Environment

The work environment is a warehouse/manufacturing setting, characterized by dusty, hot, and noisy conditions. You will be part of a small team, currently consisting of 5 production operators. The dress code requires steel toe boots/shoes and work clothes. Employees will be provided with PPE, except for steel toes. The facility manufactures and distributes graphite, and contractors should be prepared to get very dirty. Initially, employees can wear a tee shirt and jeans/work pants until uniforms are provided through the uniform service. Shifts are rotating 12-hour DuPont shifts, working both day and night shifts within the same month.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.32 - $19.32/hr.
