Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on all mechanical equipment, including HVAC, refrigeration, ice cream, and packaging equipment. You will ensure the general upkeep and repair of the manufacturing facility, office, and surrounding grounds.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment.
+ Ensure upkeep and repair of the manufacturing facility and grounds.
+ Assist in layout and installation of new equipment, including design or reconfiguration.
+ Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts and critical supplies.
+ Create, follow, and update preventative maintenance schedules.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
+ Collaborate with production to meet throughput goals and minimize downtime.
+ Participate in the sandwich line team during high-volume production times.
+ Ensure maintenance practices align with food safety regulations and quality standards.
+ Provide support to outside contractors or inspectors on-site.
+ Communicate effectively with team members, managers, visitors, and contractors.
Essential Skills
+ Electrical troubleshooting
+ Mechanical troubleshooting
+ Preventive maintenance
+ Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
+ Experience with HVAC systems
+ Welding skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to work in environments with allergens such as nuts, dairy, gluten, and latex.
+ Operate and maintain automated and manual equipment.
+ Proficiency in using manual and powered lifts and hand/power tools.
+ Safe handling and use of hazardous chemicals.
+ Capability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
+ Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
+ Willingness to work in cold storage or refrigerated environments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
