Senior Privacy Analyst - System Compliance

Work Location: Texas Health Corporate, 612 E. Lamar Blvd., Arlington, TX 76011
Work Hours: Full Time Days (8:00am-5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week (remote work allowed at manager's discretion)

What You Will Do:
Monitoring, Auditing, and Enforcement
Conduct ongoing privacy auditing and monitoring activities, proactive access monitoring and breach risk assessments, in accordance with THR?s privacy policies and procedures.
Investigate reported privacy incidents and assist in determining root causes, impact, and appropriate mitigation strategies. Maintain detailed documentation of privacy investigations and outcomes.
Review audit findings and case trends to identify patterns of inappropriate access and recommend corrective actions.

Reporting and Metrics
Prepare reports on privacy audits and findings, including compliance with THR policies and identified privacy breaches. Disseminate reports to the System Privacy Officer, Privacy Manager(s), Entity Compliance and Privacy Officers, appropriate committees and other leadership when requested.
Identify additional reports needed from the EHR system (CareConnect) to detect breaches and support the development of focused audits.

Communication, Training, and Awareness
Develop and implement privacy training for new and existing workforce members
Participate in presentations to committees and management, sharing audit findings, trends, recommendations, education, and regulatory updates.
Develop and implement awareness and educational resources for continuous improvement of the privacy program.

Organization and Oversight
Serve as a privacy SME in cross-functional workgroups, providing guidance on regulatory compliance and best practices.
Participate in privacy-related projects and work plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and compliance requirements.
Support and assist the Privacy Program Manager and System Privacy Officer, as needed, in developing and implementing privacy program initiatives and responding to potential privacy incidents.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need:
Education
Bachelor's Degree Req
Master's Degree Healthcare or other related field Pref
Experience
5 Years Experience in privacy regulations such as HIPAA, Texas state privacy laws, and/or other federal information privacy laws. Prior experience in auditing/monitoring access to information in clinical applications. Req
Licenses and Certifications
CHPC - Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance Upon Hire Req Or
CHC - Certified in Healthcare Compliance Upon Hire Req Or
Other CHPS - Certified in Healthcare Privacy & Security Upon Hire Req

Ability to interpret and apply federal and state privacy regulations to operational workflows and compliance strategies.
Strong analytical skills for proactive access monitoring, incident investigation, and risk identification.
Ability to manage multiple privacy-related projects and contribute to program development and continuous improvement efforts.
Proficiency in preparing reports, summaries, and metrics for leadership and regulatory bodies.
Demonstrated professionalism in handling sensitive information and providing consumer service to internal and external parties.
