Product Manager II – Platform Capabilities

The Product Manager will lead the development and management of common features and foundational capabilities across a broader platform initiative. This role requires deep collaboration with Practice Area-specific Product Managers to understand workflow needs, identify alignment opportunities, and drive the creation of scalable features and services.

Key Common Features (Current Scope)

+ Project Setup & Context Awareness – Initiate new matters/projects by uploading key documents to establish context for AI-driven tasks.

+ Project Memory – Maintain and build knowledge over time so the system “remembers” prior uploads, chats, and actions across weeks or months.

+ File Management (Vault Integration) – Secure storage and retrieval of project documents; supports uploads from DMS or local drives.

+ Project-Centric Conversation – Context-aware chat assistant that references project data and prior steps.

+ Collaboration & Role Management – Multi-user access, annotation, and task tracking within the same matter.

+ Workflow Access – Launch point for AI-powered, multi-step tasks such as due diligence, drafting, and discovery analysis.

+ Conversation-Driven Alerts – Notifications for developments, due dates, or legal updates relevant to the matter.

+ Security & Privacy Controls – Encryption and privacy-by-design architecture.

+ Performance & Scalability – Optimized for large document volumes.

Why This Role Is Unique

+ Internal-Facing Product Focus – Unlike traditional PM roles focused on external UX, this role supports internal developers and PMs, enabling faster builds on a shared foundation.

+ Horizontal & Vertical Mindset – While Practice Area PMs focus on vertical depth (e.g., M&A, Real Estate, Civil Litigation), this role spans horizontally across all areas, ensuring scalable and reusable platform features.

Summary

This role demands close partnership with Practice Area PMs to balance consistency with customization. Platform-level services may not always be uniform across areas, requiring flexibility to accommodate specific needs in project home pages, memory, and context.

The Platform Product Manager ensures the platform is more than a collection of siloed solutions—it’s a scalable, unified foundation that reduces redundancy and accelerates delivery of high-quality workflows.

Additional Qualifications

+ 4–7 years of product management or product ownership experience.

+ Experience with Agentic AI products is highly preferred.

+ Candidates must have prior legal experience—LegalTech, Paralegal, or Juris Doctorate (JD) required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
