Purpose Responsible for overseeing day-to-day IT infrastructure operations across US locations, ensuring stability, efficiency, and compliance with global standards. Act as the primary point of contact for US infrastructure implementations, onsite support and critical space management. Leverage data analytics to ensures reliable delivery of infrastructure services and support regulatory audit assessments. What You'll Do • Day-to-day Operations: Oversee IT infrastructure operations in the US, ensuring stability, efficiency, and adherence to global standards. • Infrastructure point of contact: Act as the primary point of contact for IT infrastructure implementations across US locations, coordinating closely with global teams to ensure seamless execution. • US Proximity Support: Serve as the on-the-ground escalation point for IT incidents requiring onsite support for IT infrastructure, providing hands-on assistance and coordinating with global support teams. • Regulatory/Audit: Contribute to IT audit inquiries by obtaining related documentation, coordinating response with relevant teams, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided and supporting evidence is available. • High Severity Incidents - Assist with high severity IT incidents with infrastructure dependencies by technically troubleshooting and coordinating resolution with head office support teams. – GSOC • Data Analytics: Access systems of record, generate accurate reports and provide actionable insights to support IT infrastructure operations, decision making and audit evidence • Tape Library Maintenance: Maintain tape backup systems, including rotating media, sending tapes offsite, addressing hardware issues and ensuring secure storage and compliance with data retention policies. • Hardware Disposal: Administer the secure disposal of IT hardware in compliance with bank standards, ensuring proper data wiping, decommissioning, chain of custody documentation and coordination with certified disposal vendors to maintain audit readiness. • Critical Space Management: Manage US critical space environments, inclusive of Data Centers, MDFs and IDFs. Oversee capacity planning, equipment installation and removal, cable management, access control and ensuring adherence to organizational standards for security, power and cooling. • IT Infrastructure Program Oversight: Provide oversight of BAU IT infrastructure programs delivered by the global teams to ensure the reliability, performance and compliance of the infrastructure services (Capacity Management, Configuration Management, Monitoring Standards, etc) • PenTest : Act as the point of contact for infrastructure PenTest assessments. • Data Center DR Testing: IT infrastructure point of contact for US data center testing events. • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team. What You’ll Bring • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and service management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. • Proven ability to oversee day-to-day IT infrastructure across multiple US locations, ensuring stability, efficiency, and compliance. • Skilled in managing IT infrastructure operations, encompassing data centers, servers, storage systems, networking components, tape libraries, and hardware lifecycle management — including provisioning, maintenance, secure disposal, and compliance with organizational standards for performance, security, and audit readiness. • Effective liaison between US teams and global infrastructure groups for implementations and support. • Strong stakeholder management and escalation handling for onsite support needs. • Competence in accessing systems of record, generating reports, and delivering actionable insights to support decision-making and compliance. • Understanding of US regulatory requirements and audit processes. • Ability to gather documentation, coordinate responses, and ensure audit evidence is accurate and complete.
