    Primary Location: GA-Fulton-Atlanta/Hybrid-Teleworking eligible (if applicable and subject to change as business needs dictates)

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    Perform new employee orientation. Development of Specific HR reports. Performs all HR functions including Recruitment, Classification and Compensation, Engagement and Onboarding. Performs full life cycle recruitment which includes handling all requests for posting job vacancies from multiple assigned offices within the SBWC. Schedules and coordinate interviews, liaise with job seekers and applicants, respond to emails in a timely manner. Benefits coordination.HR administration (filling, handling sensitive information responding to emails and handling HR mail). Ensure compliance with all applicable SBWC policies and state regulations. May serve as a liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders and other duties as assigned.

     

    SBWC Specific Qualifications and Competencies

     

    + Associate’s degree in human resources from an accredited college or university AND Three years of professional-level human resources experience OR Five years of professional level human resources experience. NOTE: The above-mentioned experience should include interview and selection process, classification and compensation, job studies, market data collection, onboarding, job analysis, recruitment, HR reporting metrics.

    + In depth understanding of PeopleSoft (how to enter transactions, pull queries, look up data etc.)

    + Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., Workers' Compensation Act, ADA, FMLA, etc.)

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Excellent written and verbal communication

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Mainly Excel)

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

    + Excellent interpersonal skills with experience successfully building relationships with peers to be viewed as a trusted resource for advice and guidance.

    + Ability to make sound and well-informed decisions with strong analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills.

    + Excellent facilitation skills and experience making presentations.

    + Ability to act objectively while coaching employees and leaders through issues that are complex, difficult, or sensitive in nature.

    + Excellent customer service skills with diplomacy and professionalism to effectively respond and resolve internal and external customer needs.

    + Always presents a professional image.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL SBWC JOBS

    The interview is just one part of the overall selection process and is not the only criteria used to make the final selection. In addition to the interview, the final selection is based on the applicant’s work history and performance (documented in HR and/or Office files), PeopleSoft/employee status (i.e. rehire code), employee performance reviews, personnel file review (HR & Office Files), Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), criminal background check and employment reference checks (including references and commendations from Managers and other relevant documentation) and, for supervisory positions, demonstrated leadership skills based on past and current work history will be considered.

    + In accordance with Internal policy an applicant must have no active disciplinary actions to be in good employment standing. Actions that may disqualify an applicant include letters of reprimand (active for 12 months after issuance date); suspension without pay or disciplinary demotion (active for 12 months from the effective date); Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Leave Restriction Plans (active until 12 months after the date of conclusion). In addition, an employee must have an overall e-Performance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation. Please note that Memorandums of Concern are not considered disqualifying factors. Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employee’s favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.

    High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of experience performing human resources job-related functions; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level HR Analyst 2 (HRP051) or position equivalent. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
