Qualifications
Educational and other Requirements for the position:
+ MD/PhD, PhD or MSc
+ Radiologist (in-training acceptable)
Experience Required:
+ Experience with imaging quantification methods
+ Familiar with radiomics and texture analysis in oncology
Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project:
+ The project seeks to deliver on a radiomics machine learning model for the characterization of indeterminate nodules in cirrhosis. In other words, we will provide a tool (model and nomogram) that will input clinical variables, liquid biopsy data and radiomics features and return a reclassification of the indeterminate nodule into either benign or malignancy with a high probability. This will decrease the inherent uncertainty of the current LI-RADS classification.
Responsibilities
Details of Research Project:
+ Liquid Biopsy and radiomics for liver cancer surveillance (NCI funded study)
+ Aim 1: To conduct a phase 2 biomarker study testing liquid biopsy to detect curable HCC.
+ Aim 2: To integrate clinical data, liquid biopsy and MRI-based radiomics to characterize indeterminate liver nodules in cirrhosis.
+ You may also participate in other research studies involving multiparametric MRI in abdominal cancers (eg, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer or rectal cancer etc).
Technical Duties: (include any protocols)
+ The primary responsibility of this position is to build an imaging database, acquire, process and analyze MRI data, with an emphasis on radiomics and machine learning analysis
+ Your responsibilities in this research are to build an imaging dataset or radiomics libraries in pre-cancerous liver nodules and liver cancer based on imaging (CT and MRI). All technical and infrastructural requirements needed for this project, including imaging equipment, image post-processing software histological resources are available at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
+ The research projects at our institution comply with our institutional review board and are in conformity with international ethical standards. Your participation is solely for the purposes of observation, consultation, teaching, or research. No element of patient care will be involved.

Compensation Statement
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
