Search Contact [email protected] Position Summary This position is hiring 1 Stallion Service Assistant at the Equine Reproduction Center ( ERC ) for up to a 9-month duration. This position supports the stallion program for the Equine Reproduction Center. This position will be following the daily duties assigned to include stallion care, participate in breeding practices and techniques, frozen semen maintenance and helping obtain a clean and well-organized laboratory space. This is an essential working position and individual must be willing and able to report to work as directed to preform essential and/or emergency services without delay or interruption beginning January 20th, 2026. Position Minimum Qualifications • 4-year degree in related field of study (equine science or animal science) or • 2-year degree in related field with 2 years of dedicated experience with horses. Must be eligible to work in the USA as of the start date of this position. A Visa will not be supported. Preferred Qualifications + Works well in difficult situations; good organization skills; good written and verbal skills. + Knowledge of working with stallions to maintain a safe environment. + Skills to assess a situation for safety concerns and implement changes to maintain a safe environment. + 1+ year of working with stallions. + Working breeding farm knowledge. + Ability to multitask. Essential Job Duties Job Duty CategoryStallion Care Duty/Responsibility + Assist with stallion arrivals and departures. + Ability to assess and assist with management on stallions appropriately based on individual needs while consulting with faulty or resident veterinarians. + Perform assessments regarding stallion health and welfare, weight, and exercise(s) as needed. + Maintain farrier schedule and assist farrier as needed. + Assist with grooming, turnout and maintenance of stallions and tease mare. + Monitor stallion supplements and organize as needed.
