• Data Engineer - Data Platforms-AWS

    CTG (New Castle, DE)


    CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer - Data Platforms-AWS position for our client in New Castle, DE.

     

    **Duration:** 12 months

    Duties:

    + Design, build, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines on AWS Cloud ecosystem.

    + Develop data layers on AWS RedShift, Aurora, and DynamoDB to support data warehouse and data lake solutions.

    + Migrate and integrate data using AWS DMS and ensure seamless data flow across platforms.

    + Utilize AWS services such as AWS EMR, AWS Glue, Glue Catalog, Kinesis, Lambda, and Databrew for data processing and orchestration.

    + Implement and manage scheduling of data services to maintain operational efficiency.

    + Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.

    + Leverage open-source technologies such as Apache Airflow, dbt, Spark/Python, or Spark/Scala for data processing on AWS.

    Skills:

    + Strong experience with Snowflake and Abinitio.

    + Hands-on expertise in AWS ecosystem including S3, RedShift, RedShift Spectrum, Glue (Spark/Python), Lambda (Python), Kinesis, and AWS DMS.

    + Experience with batch and real-time data pipeline development for Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions.

    + Knowledge of US Cards business processes and data requirements.

    + Proficient in using data orchestration and transformation tools (Apache Airflow, dbt).

    Experience:

    + Proven experience as a Data Engineer with focus on AWS Cloud and data platform technologies.

    + Experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines in batch and real-time environments.

    + Strong experience with cloud-based data warehouse and lake solutions, including RedShift, Aurora, and DynamoDB.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
