    As an EHS manager for Global Facilities, you will lead and mentor a global team of EHS professionals to ensure compliance, safety, and sustainability across multiple locations. This role drives strategic initiatives that protect people, the environment, and support Caterpillar’s commitment to building a better world.

     

    You will work closely with Global Facility leaders and cross-functional teams to champion EHS programs and sustainability efforts. The EHS Manager will coach all levels of the organization, driving for results and implementing key initiatives throughout the business. This is a leadership role with considerable influence on operational safety and environmental impact.

    What You Will Do:

    + Lead and mentor a global team of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professionals to ensure consistent execution of safety and environmental programs across multiple facilities.

    + Develop and implement strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate safety, health, and environmental risks inherent in Caterpillar’s operations.

    + Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and Caterpillar standards by auditing programs and processes and driving corrective actions where needed.

    + Design and deliver EHS training programs that build awareness and capability across all levels of the organization.

    + Monitor performance metrics and analyze trends to proactively address issues and improve safety and sustainability outcomes.

    + Champion enterprise-wide EHS initiatives, ensuring alignment with Caterpillar’s sustainability goals and operational excellence objectives.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business planning, project execution, and continuous improvement efforts.

    + Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on EHS matters, providing guidance on risk management, policy development, and strategic decision-making.

    What You Have:

    + **Education & Credentials:**

    + Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

    + **Experience:**

    + Extensive experience leading Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across multiple facilities or global operations.

    + Proven track record of developing and implementing EHS strategies that meet regulatory requirements and align with organizational goals.

    + Strong background in auditing, compliance, and risk management processes.

    + **Leadership & Collaboration:**

    + Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor diverse teams, fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.

    + Skilled in influencing senior leadership and collaborating across functions to integrate EHS into business planning and operations.

    + **Technical Expertise:**

    + Deep understanding of sustainability practices, environmental regulations, and occupational health standards.

    + Ability to design and deliver training programs that build organizational capability in EHS.

    + **Strategic & Analytical Skills:**

    + Expertise in problem-solving, decision-making, and overcoming resistance to change in complex environments.

    + Strong analytical skills to interpret performance metrics, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.

    What Will Set You Apart:

    + Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering or other related field.

    + Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).

    + Environmental permitting and OSHA reporting experience.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $144,960.00 - $217,320.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
