The Floating Manager for Day Services plays a crucial role in overseeing and supervising the provision of services for individuals at various locations, including site-based programs, day opportunities, and art programs. This position ensures that staff provide the necessary support for individuals to lead self-directed lives and participate fully in their communities. The Floating Manager is responsible for preparing staff for daily assignments, monitoring punctuality and attendance, conducting performance reviews, managing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with documentation and safety protocols. Additionally, the Floating Manager will train staff, assist with personal care and hygiene needs, and provide a safe working environment.
In this vital leadership role, you’ll:
+ Supervise and support DSPs and Assistant Managers in providing person-centered day services.
+ Coordinate daily staff and participant schedules, ensuring proper staffing ratios and seamless program delivery.
+ Oversee staff training, development, and performance, including coaching, evaluations, and team meetings.
+ Ensure high-quality documentation and compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
+ Collaborate with QIDPs to support individualized participant goals and community integration.
+ Manage program logistics, including petty cash reconciliation, payroll input, vehicle oversight, and safety protocols.
+ Step in to support direct care when needed, ensuring a hands-on, team-first approach.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Valid NYS driver's license
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Previous management experience
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Good written and verbal communication skills
+ Medication Administration certification within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
+ At least 1 year of experience working with the people we support
+ Continued education in a Human Services related field (strongly preferred)
Salary Description
$32.56 an hour
