Join Our 1 East Medical Unit at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute
JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, ranked among the nation’s top rehabilitation hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking dedicated professionals to join our Medical Unit, an acute inpatient program providing comprehensive care for adults recovering from comprehensive pulmonary, orthopedic, neurologic, and/or cardiac conditions.
Our unit uses an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to support patients and their families. At the heart of our care is exceptional rehabilitation nursing, ensuring that patients’ medical and functional needs are met with expertise and compassion. Our nurses work closely with the team to manage complex conditions, deliver personalized care, and promote recovery.
In addition to nursing, the unit offers intensive rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, recreational therapy, social work, dieticians and rehabilitation medicine. Patients admitted to the unit are medically stable and ready to engage in a personalized plan designed to restore function and independence.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
+ Graduation from an accredited LPN program
+ The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
+ A strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers.
+ Dedication to ongoing education.
+ The ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus.
+ Excellent customer service skills
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
+ Fluency in the Spanish language preferred Licenses and Certifications Required:
+ Licensed Practical Nurse.
+ AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

Minimum rate of $32.40 Hourly

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
