SGI Global is seeking experienced Polygraph Examiners to support the United States Secret Service (USSS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Examiners will provide professional polygraph services to assist the USSS in conducting and finalizing polygraph examinations for law enforcement applicants as part of the agency's hiring and vetting process. This effort supports the USSS mission by ensuring the integrity and suitability of all applicants undergoing security screening and will directly contribute to reducing examination backlogs across multiple field offices nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct pre-employment polygraph examinations for USSS law enforcement applicants following USSS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), polygraph screening guidelines, and National Center for Credibility Assessment (NCCA) manuals.
+ Perform polygraph examinations using the Law Enforcement Pre-Employment Test (LEPET) format, averaging 4–6 hours per examination.
+ Prepare detailed examination documentation and reports for submission to USSS Polygraph Quality Control Managers.
+ Collaborate with USSS Polygraph personnel to coordinate scheduling, examination reviews, and reporting.
+ Safeguard and properly operate all Government-furnished Lafayette LX6000 polygraph systems and compatible accessories.
+ Participate in mandatory onboarding and training sessions provided by the USSS, including a 40-hour classroom component and monitored polygraph sessions.
+ Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with NCCA certification requirements, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and agency regulations.
+ Adhere to all security, confidentiality, and chain-of-custody requirements related to USSS polygraph examination materials and applicant data.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Graduate of the Psychophysiological Detection of Deception (PPD) program certified by the National Center for Credibility Assessment (NCCA) or a predecessor institution:
+ U.S. Military Police School / Army Polygraph School (USAMPS)
+ Department of Defense Polygraph Institute (DODPI)
+ Defense Academy for Credibility Assessment (DACA)
+ Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a federal polygraph examiner.
+ Conducted a minimum of 200 polygraph examinations.
+ Completion of at least 80 hours of continuing education as required for NCCA certification.
+ Extensive, current experience conducting LEPET-format examinations.
+ Must hold or be eligible for a Tier 5 / High Tier background investigation (Non-Critical Sensitive, High Risk).
+ Ability to meet USSS facility standards for acceptable polygraph examination rooms (distraction-free, non-windowed preferred).
