CNC Laser Set Up Operator

**Location:** Frankfort, Illinois

**Job Type:** Contract to Hire

**Shift:** 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), with occasional overtime until 5:30 PM and half-day Saturdays

Join our team as a CNC Laser Set Up Operator and take your machining skills to the next level. You’ll be at the heart of our operations, working with advanced CNC Laser equipment and stainless steel materials to produce high-quality components that matter.

What You’ll Do

+ Set up and operate CNC Laser machines with precision and efficiency

+ Perform CNC milling and make minor G&M code edits to optimize performance

+ Interpret blueprints daily to ensure accuracy and consistency

+ Conduct quality checks using micrometers and calipers

+ Handle machinery changeovers and setups with confidence

+ Collaborate across departments and train on additional equipment as needed

What You Bring

+ 3+ years of CNC Lathe operation experience

+ Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills

+ Proficiency with micrometers and calipers

+ Solid background in CNC Laser machining, especially with stainless steel

+ Bonus points for experience with Mazak lasers or multi-spindle setups

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
