Now hiring a Welder and Fabricator in the Carlisle, PA area

Job Description

Join our welding and fabrication team where you will be instrumental in building high-quality flatbed trailers from blueprints. Your expertise in MIG welding and solid core welding will be essential, as you work primarily with high-strength steel and occasionally with stainless steel and aluminum. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints to fabricate and weld raw materials, often performing out-of-position welding in tight spaces.

Shift: 4-10 hour days 2nd shift Monday-Thursday 2pm-12:30am

Pay Rate: $22-$25/hour (based on experience and weld test) plus a $2 shift differential

Responsibilities

+ Perform MIG welding on high-strength steel and occasionally stainless steel and aluminum.

+ Interpret and fabricate projects from blueprints.

+ Perform out-of-position welding and work in tight spaces.

+ Utilize plasma and laser cutters, as well as material handling equipment and cranes.

+ Exhibit proficiency in vertical welding and adhere to pre-heating procedures.

+ Demonstrate an understanding of metallurgy and structural steel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $28.50/hr.
