Overview
Tanaq Management Services (TMS) delivers professional, scientific, and technical services and information technology (IT) solutions to federal agencies in health, agriculture, technology, and other government services. About the Role
We are seeking a data-driven **Small Business Program Specialist** to provide analytical and operational support to the DHA Office of Small Business Programs. The program Specialist will be focusing on program performance measurement, reporting, and improvement initiatives. The analyst supports Mentor-Protégé Program activities, data analysis, communication efforts, and reporting deliverables to enable data-informed decision-making and compliance with DHA and DoD requirements.
This is a hybrid remote position based in Falls Church, VA. that will require some onsite work at the customer’s location.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct research and needs assessments for program initiatives.
+ Collaborate with the Program Manager and stakeholders to identify trends, recommend process improvements, and support strategic planning efforts.
+ Create written reports, presentations, and policy recommendations.
+ Collect, validate, and analyze data to support performance metrics and reporting.
+ Use dashboards and analytical tools to track program goals, achievements, and outreach effectiveness.
+ Prepare recurring deliverables, including: Small Business subcontracting reports, Small Business achievement reports.
+ Draft presentations and slide decks.
+ Review metrics and policy content for accuracy and relevance.
+ Plan and support outreach events.
+ Manage OSBP website, newsletters, and communication channels.
+ Draft policy and communication materials for web and print.
+ Monitor and distribute communications from OSBP mailboxes, media, and government sources; summarize key information.
+ Maintain data repositories to ensure integrity and accessibility for government review.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
+ Minimum of three (3) years of relevant analytical or program support experience, preferably within a federal or DoD environment.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data visualization and analysis tools.
+ Experience drafting policies, communications, or outreach strategies for government audiences.
+ Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
+ Active or ability to obtain Public Trust or equivalent DHA security clearance.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Knowledge of Federal procurement and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
+ Familiarity with Small Business Program execution, strategic communications, and mentor-protégé support services.
+ Experience working with DHA, DoD, or other federal small business programs.
Education and Training
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or related field.
Physical Requirements
+ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May need to lift 25 pounds regularly.
