The HLS Diagnostics Solutions team is on a mission to transform medical diagnostics through innovative solutions enhanced with AI. We bring together multi-disciplinary talents in product, engineering, user experience (UX), and program management to build AI-powered healthcare offerings that augment how radiologists work. We are seeking an experienced **Principal Technical Program Manager- Manager** to drive product delivery across our diagnostics suite of solutions and lead a small team of program managers. In this role, you will ensure alignment between cross-discipline Product Management, UX, Engineering, and Program Management functions within Diagnostics while coordinating end-to-end execution with cross-functional teams across HLS & Microsoft. You'll be driven to ensure that products ship securely with high quality while adhering to Microsoft and industry standards. Responsibilities + People Management & Development: Serve as a people manager for a team of program managers (ICs). You will hire, coach, and mentor team members, setting goals and helping them grow their skills and careers. By modeling leadership behaviors and fostering an inclusive environment, you’ll build a motivated team that excels in collaboration and is passionate about our healthcare-focused mission. + Lead Cross-Functional Program Delivery: Orchestrate complex, multi-team programs to deliver the Diagnostics product roadmap. This includes defining project plans, schedules, and success criteria for multiple product areas, and driving execution to meet milestones. Tracking deliverables, while proactively identifying/mitigating risks, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality solutions across the diagnostics portfolio. + Align Stakeholders and Strategy: Coordinating across Product Management, UX Design, Engineering, and other partner teams to ensure objectives, dependencies, and timelines are in sync. You will facilitate alignment on requirements and priorities, maintain communication channels, and hold teams accountable to commitments. By providing data-driven updates and recommendations, you’ll keep both leadership and collaborators informed and engaged. + Drive Continuous Improvement: Champion best practices in agile project management and release processes. You will run retrospectives and utilize metrics to identify opportunities to improve execution efficiency, product quality, and team productivity. + Compliance and Security: Hold PMO and cross-discipline teams accountable by driving compliance with all privacy, security, accessibility, quality, responsibility, safety, and other legal and business requirements and standards. + Healthcare Domain Focus: Act as an advocate for healthcare and life sciences considerations in all aspects of program delivery. You will ensure our diagnostics solutions meet healthcare compliance, Microsoft Security and Responsible AI fundamentals, quality standards (e.g. data privacy, regulatory requirements) while keeping the team’s work tightly aligned with the needs of healthcare organizations and patients. + Embody our culture (https://careers.microsoft.com/v2/global/en/culture) and values. (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values) Qualifications Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development + OR equivalent experience. + 1+ years people management experience. + 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development + OR equivalent experience. + 4+ years people management experience. + 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. + 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos). Technical Program Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
