_Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a_ **_Senior Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist_** _based out of_ **_Rolling Meadows, IL_**

+ _Sourcing and procuring specialized goods and services._
+ _Owning contractual management for the supplier._
+ _Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program, and end-users._
+ _Prepared bid packages, conducted bidder conferences, and analyzed and evaluated proposals. Negotiating subcontract provisions, selecting or recommending subcontractors, writing awards, and administering resulting subcontracts._
+ _Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services_
+ _In conjunction with quality organization, evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability, as well as the supplier's ability to support required delivery schedules._
+ _Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations._
+ _Manages the performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures, including import/export regulations._
+ _Employ sound business practices and assess supplier performance as part of follow-up activities._
+ _Ensure that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded._
+ _Manage and develop strategic/key suppliers. Review and approve supplier payments as needed._
+ _Utilize process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement._
+ _Strong strategic, innovative, and critical thinking skills._
+ _Strong verbal and written communication skills._
+ _I have proficient knowledge in the MS Office suite, including MS Teams, OneNote, and Excel._
+ _Have advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas, and building reports._
_The Senior Principal Specialists will additionally be responsible for providing subcontracting process and compliance requirements guidance to junior Subcontract Specialists, Supplier Management Teams, and Integrated Product Team Leads. Provides subject matter expertise in all aspects of supplier and subcontract management. Works in the general direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Performs independently with minimal management oversight._
_Basic Qualifications (Senior Principal Subcontract Specialist):_
+ _Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years combined experience OR a master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Subcontracts, Procurement, Contracts, or Finance_
+ _A minimum of 12 years’ combined experience in Subcontracts, Procurement, Contracts, or Finance may be considered instead of a degree._
+ _Experience with SAP or related business application software_
+ _Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARS_
+ _Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government DoD security clearance at the Secret level_
+ _U.S. Citizenship_
_Preferred Qualifications (Senior Principal Subcontract Specialist):_
+ _Master’s degree in supply chain_
+ _Experience working on high-dollar development Subcontracts_
+ _Experience with negotiating high-dollar contracts_
+ _Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)_
+ _Risk Mitigation experience_
+ _Active DoD Secret Clearance_

Primary Level Salary Range: $108,400.00 - $162,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
