We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Lathe Machine Operatorto join a leading Company located in theWaukesha, WI surrounding area. This is a second shift role - starting on day shift for training.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Set up, adjust, and operate various sizes and types of engine lathes, pullbores , trepan and push boring machines. Operate various machines simultaneously.
+ Determine set-ups and set up to ensure concentricity to a very close tolerance over considerable lengths.
+ Select speeds, feeds, and tooling.
+ Determine the sequence of operations to accomplish required dimensional and finish requirements.
+ Improvise and grind tooling to meet varying materials and operating conditions.
+ Make or assist other machinists in set-ups .
+ Able to work from blueprints and specifications.
+ Ability to design their own set ups .
+ Candidate will need to set up all their own tools - installing , setting work coordinates for the machine.
+ Use of speed grips, soft jaws, hard jaws.
+ Need the ability to inspect their own completed parts for quality when complete; must have inspection skills.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
+ CNC machining, manual turning and boring experience of at least 2 years.
+ GD&T knowledge is a requirement.
+ Blueprint Reading required.
+ Need Overhead Crane Experience.
+ Exp erience with Smaller Lathe machines , will be cutting jaws, picking out jaws to use on the machine, use different type of work holdings .
+ Must be able to train 6:30am - 3pm for 2 months then will move to 2nd shift.
