Electronic Technician II - "W-TRS" RVCT Fort Benning/Moore Georgia

Overview:
Under minimal supervision perform scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS (e.g. RVCT, STE, and GFP) following technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available. Informs the government of the maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites. Ensures maintenance tasks do not conflict with training, exercises, and testing. Records all maintenance activities in real-time in MAXIMO. Adheres to warranty terms for maintained items, tracking them by part number, serial number, and location. Sets up and tests TADSS and STE Devices to confirm the equipment functions as expected, including interoperability and operation verification. Monitors hardware baselines, reverting to previous versions if updates fail. Analyzes maintenance trends, tracks component consumption, implements risk management strategies, and conducts failure analysis to minimize risks and improve system reliability. Installs modifications or upgrade kits as per manufacturer's instructions. May serve as a preventive rover for unstaffed sites. Responsible for installing and maintaining hardware installs on TADSS and STE Devices.
_Support three primary missions (Steady-state Training Support, Point of Need operations, and Surge Support)._
+ **_Steady-state Training Support:_** During steady state training, support Soldiers in planning the training exercise in the TMT software, coordinating and aligning training equipment and RVCT modules to prepare for the exercise. Initializing and troubleshooting the local RVCT training network with the RVCT modules to ensure connectivity. In Execution, provide Over the Shoulder training directly to Soldiers as needed and any exercise control functions such as roleplay or intelligence reports to support training.
+ **_Point of Need training:_** Provide the following services for the RVCT modules and associated equipment: Oversees prep for shipment, Transportation, Oversees set up of equipment, Initializing and troubleshooting's at the Point of Need location, over the shoulder execution support. Upon termination of the exercise, oversees prep for shipment, Transportation, oversees setting up of equipment, Initializing and troubleshooting at the original location)
+ **_Surge Support:_** Shift personnel from other locations to support training that outweighs the current site’s personnel requirement. Exercise could be up to 28 modules of RVCT or two companies. This will be for a limited time to support training at that site.
Travel:
+ Will be required up to 30% of the time to include OCONUS.
**Description:** (Percentage of time spent)
+ 25% - Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on TADSS equipment.
+ 20% - Records all maintenance activities in real-time in MAXIMO and reporting systems.
+ 15% - Sets up and tests TADSS and STE Devices, including interoperability and operation verification.
+ 10% - Monitors hardware baselines, reverting to previous versions if updates fail.
+ 15% - Perform electrical and mechanical adjustment, remove, and replace failed components, and make repairs on equipment.
+ 5% - Serve as a preventive rover for unstaffed sites.
+ 10% - Responsible for installing and maintaining hardware installs on TADSS and STE Devices.
Working Environment:
+ 90% of the regular work environment is inside simulation facilities either onsite or a Point of Need (PoN) location wherever training is being conducted.
+ 10% of the regular work is within an office environment.
Qualifications:
+ **_Education / Certifications:_**
+ 2-year associate degree in Electronics related field or
+ Electronic Technicians Association (ETA) Basic Electronics Certification IAW ISO 17024 standards or
+ Possess a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in a related discipline.
+ **_Experience:_**
+ (6 years with No Degree) or (4 years with AA) or (2 years with BA/BS) or (1 year with MA/MS)
+ STE Device knowledge preferred.
+ **_Skills & Technology Used:_**
+ Experience using Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeter, Function Generator, Power supply, and multiple hand tools
+ Experience with Microsoft office suite.
Clearance:
+ Security Clearance: Active Secret or the ability to obtain a secret within 6 months of hire
Physical Activities:
+ Physical activities include stooping, bending, lifting and/or carrying up to 35 lbs.
+ Short periods of walking and standing for extended periods are likely.
