Description
The Department of Orthopaedics and the Center for Musculoskeletal Research at the University of Rochester seek applicants for a full-time faculty position as a surgeon with a clinical focus in hand and upper extremity orthopaedics. The Department of Orthopaedics has 65 clinical and 14 full-time research faculty. We are the sole orthopaedic clinicians for UR Medicine, a seven hospital clinically integrated network serving a population of close to a million patients in Western New York. The Department is organized into 9 sub-specialty divisions, and the successful candidate will join other fellowship-trained orthopaedic adult reconstruction surgeons and advanced practice providers in the Division of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery.
Clinical activities of the position will take place in the recently constructed and “state of the art” Saunders Center for Orthopaedics and Physical Performance of the University of Rochester and the satellite clinics maintained by the Department. The Saunders Center is a new outpatient campus housing musculoskeletal services. The facility is approximately 325,000 sq. ft. including clinic space, ambulatory surgery, clinical research, and multiple advanced therapy spaces.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be ABOS board eligible or board certified with fellowship training in orthopaedic adult reconstruction surgery. Candidates must be eligible for a New York State unrestricted license. A post-offer health assessment is required.

Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary raqnge and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries.
