    Position Summary:

    As a Surgery Controller, you’ll play a key role in coordinating surgical schedules and ensuring smooth communication between departments, physicians, and clinical staff. This position requires strong attention to detail, multitasking, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Maintain accurate daily and future surgery schedules

    + Coordinate with anesthesia, charge nurses, and physician offices for scheduling and updates

    + Compile call schedules and assist with high-volume phone communications

    + Relay time-sensitive information to staff, departments, and vendors

    + Notify staff of early starts and assignment changes

    + Communicate equipment and supply needs for special procedures

    + Ensure schedules align with staffing, equipment, and supply availability

    + Support departmental flow and problem-solving across units

    What You’ll Need:

    + High School Diploma required; Medical Office Administration Certificate or higher preferred

    + 2+ years of experience in surgery scheduling or acute care setting preferred

    + Strong knowledge of medical terminology and computer systems

    + Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

    + Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations
