About Your Summer Internship Program:

The Dollar Tree Summer Internship Program offers an enriching 10-week paid internship opportunity that takes place at our corporate headquarters in Chesapeake, Virginia. Interns will be immersed in a dynamic work environment where they will receive personalized mentorship and engage in professional development activities designed to enhance their skills.

Throughout the internship, participants will gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of our operations. Comprehensive onboarding will ensure interns are well-prepared from day one. About Your Role:

As a Global Sourcing & Cost Analytics Intern at Dollar Tree, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn about the dynamic world of strategic sourcing and advanced cost transparency. You will support two primary functions: Cost Analytics and Strategic Sourcing – you will be able to assist in the analysis and projection of market trends to provide cost transparency and strategic insights into future commodity and import costs, and participate in supplier discovery and evaluation.

Required Skills and Experience:

+ Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Economics, International Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative or business field.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret large portions of data to create easily understandable reports.

+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and strong skills in data presentation.

+ Effective negotiation skills or a strong desire to learn.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organization.

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective relationships.

+ Self-motivated and eager to learn about global sourcing and retail supply chains.
