    Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

    Job Description

    As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will design, implement, and sustain processes and systems that enhance safety, quality, and productivity. You will work to eliminate waste of time, money, materials, energy, and other resources. Additionally, you will manage, track, and control operations and oversee performance improvement processes. You will be responsible for design of fixtures and other layouts in Solidworks.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare and distribute engineering data to the manufacturing area to ensure timely transfer of information from design engineering to manufacturing technicians.

    + Monitor and provide engineering support to ensure customer products are manufactured economically and align with management goals and quality expectations. Analyze deviations and implement corrective actions.

    + Review customer delivery projects for raw materials, indirect materials, and consumables required in manufacturing, ensuring their timely availability for continuous manufacturing.

    + Collaborate with leadership to develop equipment and tooling justifications, quotation requests, acceptance criteria, and purchasing documentation. Review quotations, support vendor selections, and ensure equipment meets acceptance criteria and quality expectations.

    + Develop and implement approved improvement projects focused on process control, equipment, capacity, and productivity targeting quality, cost, and delivery performance.

    + Assist production supervisors in troubleshooting process and quality problems. Perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures based on the PDCA process.

    + Write work instructions and assist in training.

    + Develop specifications for new equipment, TPM requirements, and operating work instructions.

    + Support equipment installation, process description, and operational/performance qualification activities for manufacturing equipment and processes. Generate all related documentation.

    + Analyze plant layout and propose improvements for manufacturing flow.

    + Assess and measure labor content to set process standards and evaluate variances.

    + Assist business areas in creating time-based Standard Work for tasks and activities.

    + Collaborate with other departments to develop technical solutions to manufacturing problems.

    + Apply statistical tools to complex problems and teach these tools to others as required.

    + Play a leadership role in the Plant Safety Program.

    + Further the goals and professional image of the organization.

    + Understand Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies and discuss their importance and impact on work.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + 4+ years of experience in an industrial heavy-duty manufacturing environment.

    + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

    + Experience with layout design and SolidWorks.

    + Advanced proficiency with CAD software or other engineering design software.

    + Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

    The role is based in a manufacturing environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batesville, MS.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $99000.00/yr.
