There will never be a dull moment, and the duties will continue to evolve as Crowley levels up to the next Government Contracting tier.** *What You'll Do:* Responsible for performing advanced, professional-level accounting duties in compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ensures accuracy and integrity of financial data related to government contracts and regulatory reporting, with demonstrated experience using Deltek Costpoint. *Key Responsibilities:* * Plans and conducts comprehensive reviews to enhance the operational, financial, and regulatory compliance of a government-related department or business segment. Performs statistical, cost, and financial analysis of reports and contract-related data within Deltek Costpoint, preparing summaries for management with a focus on CAS and FAR requirements. * Recommends cost containment and allocability improvements to ensure compliance and efficiency. Interprets historical data to assess contract performance and forecast financial impact. * Reviews direct and indirect costs and performs allowability and cost/benefit analysis for government projects and programs. * Develops financial reports in Costpoint to monitor trends, forecasts, billing rates, and incurred cost submissions. Assists in the development, enhancement, and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to CAS, FAR, and agency-specific requirements. * Provides guidance to less experienced accounting personnel in government compliance matters and Costpoint functionality. * May assist with general ledger maintenance, indirect rate structure support, and internal controls related to government contracts. * May assist with staffing, supervision, and performance management responsibilities. *Education & Credentials:* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education. Deltek and DFAR experience is mandatory. *Experience & Technical Skills:* * Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
