    Printer Operator

    Responsibilities

    + Read job specifications and procure all applicable tooling.

    + Set up the printing equipment according to job orders and production specs.

    + Conduct ongoing visual inspections of machines, checking for leaks, loose belts, etc.

    + Troubleshoot and adjust printing equipment as needed.

    + Perform compliance checks with customer specifications and quality standards.

    + Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material, safety, and quality issues to supervisors.

    + Complete production and quality control worksheets accurately.

    + Perform line clearance and shift changeover procedures.

    + Comply with company personnel, safety policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices.

    + Perform special projects and assignments as directed by supervisory personnel.

    + Verify conformance of machined workpieces to specifications.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production, blueprint reading, and machine operating.

    + Proficiency with calipers, hand tools, inspection, and inserter machines.

    + 1-year college technical certificate or 6+ months of printing/manufacturing experience.

    + Mechanically inclined with strong analytical, mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.

    + Experience with press brake, tape measure, and punch press.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing Environment.

    + Previous tube manufacturing experience.

    + Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.

    + Capability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively.

    + Mathematical skills to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and proportions.

    + Problem-solving abilities and facilitation in individual and group settings.

    + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilkes-Barre, PA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
