Job Title: Off Shift Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Off Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. This role requires performing both emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs to ensure the seamless operation of our production equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain and upgrade production machines and plant facility equipment.
+ Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
+ Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
+ Execute mechanic skills including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
+ Perform basic electrical skills, including troubleshooting and repair of motors, blown fuses, tripped breakers, and faulty wiring.
+ Carry out simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
+ Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
+ Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical inclination experience (e.g., worked on a farm, previous hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment troubleshooting machines, vocational schooling).
+ Experience with maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance.
+ Ability to perform both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
+ Proficiency in welding and blueprint reading.
+ Experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred: Some electrical experience.
+ Strong technical capacity.
+ Commitment to ethical conduct.
+ Excellent communication proficiency.
+ Results-driven mentality.
+ Initiative and ability to work with little supervision.

Work Environment
Work in a 300,000 sq foot facility that manufactures stainless steel and nickel alloy bar and wire. The environment is not temperature-controlled but features three large fans to help stabilize the temperature.

This is a Permanent position based out of Freeport, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $62400.00/yr.
