Job Title: Fabrication Welder
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Fabrication Welder to join our team. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and drawings, planning layout and procedures, and determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. Your role will also involve setting up components for welding according to specifications, operating angle grinders, aligning components, and welding them in various positions.
Responsibilities
+ Interpret blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
+ Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
+ Set up components for welding according to specifications, using powered saws to match measurements.
+ Operate angle grinders to prepare parts that must be welded.
+ Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.
+ Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
+ Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
+ Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
+ Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of welding experience.
+ 2+ years of experience with hand and power tools.
+ 2+ years of experience with welding blueprints.
+ Proficient in MIG and TIG welding.
+ Ability to carry 10-50 lbs frequently.
+ Must own personal welding equipment (gloves, face shield, etc.).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ TIG and MIG welding qualifications.
Work Environment
This position offers opportunities on both 1st and 2nd shifts. The 1st shift runs from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, while the 2nd shift is from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, Monday through Thursday.

This is a Contract position based out of Racine, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
