Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical components on industrial machinery, supporting PLC systems from Allen-Bradley and Siemens, and maintaining data communication systems such as Profibus, ControlNet, and Ethernet. You will troubleshoot variable frequency and DC motor drive systems, perform quality instrumentation calibration checks, and carry out various maintenance tasks to ensure equipment functionality and product quality.
**Pay:** $33-$38 after a few months of training.
Responsibilities
+ Diagnose and repair electrical components on industrial machinery including 480v motors, relays, and sensors.
+ Support and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and other PLC systems.
+ Maintain Profibus, ControlNet, and Ethernet data communication systems.
+ Troubleshoot variable frequency and DC motor drive systems.
+ Work from vendor provided schematics and use common electronic diagnostic equipment.
+ Determine root cause of equipment failure and perform corrective maintenance.
+ Perform monthly electrical cabinet inspections and cleaning.
+ Conduct daily machine CILs to confirm machine settings and functionality.
+ Perform machine brand changes and shadow Cell Technicians.
+ Maintain and repair all electrical and electronic devices associated with equipment, machinery, or facility structure.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electronic controls and industrial control systems.
+ Complete EHS-required training and adhere to operational guidelines.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to troubleshoot Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs using a laptop or schematic.
+ Proficiency in interpreting ladder logic.
+ Experience troubleshooting and replacing electrical components such as electric motors (480v), contacts, relays, fuses, and sensors.
+ Proficiency with voltmeters, multimeters, and/or meggers.
+ Knowledge in AC/DC motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment maintenance.
+ Experience in electrical troubleshooting and industrial controls.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Extensive knowledge of PLC systems.
+ Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
+ Excellent computer skills.
+ Effective oral and written communication skills.
+ Completion of lift truck and scissor lift certification requirements.
+ Two years toward an engineering degree at an accredited university (Associate of Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, etc.).

Work Environment
Our work environment is modern, clean, and well-lit, with climate-controlled facilities. Employees have access to a food court and work within departments equipped with high-speed packaging machinery. The dress code includes steel-toe footwear, long work pants, and company-provided shirts. Shifts include 2nd (3pm-11:30pm M-F) and 3rd (11pm-7:30am, Sun-Thurs), with initial training on the 1st shift (7am-3:30pm).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tobaccoville, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.54 - $35.54/hr.
