Job Description
The role of the Maintenance Mechanic is to perform basic repair and preventive maintenance on machining and mechanical equipment related to manufacturing areas or electrical facilities following detailed and specific instructions, under limited supervision.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on machine tools and other manufacturing and building equipment.
+ Make simple mechanical repairs to machines of relatively limited complexity according to specific instructions.
+ Perform mechanical troubleshooting and develop skills and knowledge in various maintenance areas.
+ May perform a limited variety of tasks in the installation, maintenance, and repair of simple electrical facilities.
+ Clean and lubricate machines, bearings, jibs, etc., and remove and replace expendable items such as belts and filters on machinery and equipment.
+ Assist in basic repairs and preventive maintenance for other skilled areas such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or facilities painting.
+ Regularly perform tasks at heights of 12 feet or more.

+ Report any quality problems or defects to management to implement corrective action and avoid recurrence.

Essential Skills
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ 1 year of related experience.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards.
Work Environment
The work environment may not be temperature controlled and may include installation sites with variable noise levels and temperatures. Employees are expected to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate effectively. Occasionally, tasks may require sitting. Employees must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. The noise level is usually moderate. This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
