    Forklift Operator – Clamp Truck (2nd Shift)

    **Location:** Cottage Grove, MN

    **Job Type:** Permanent, Full-Time

    **Shift:** 2nd Shift (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM)

    **Training:** Must be available for training on 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) for 2–3 weeks

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a skilled **Clamp Truck Operator** to join a dynamic team in a brand-new, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading trailers, staging units, and performing final visual quality inspections. Operators will use a sit-down propane forklift and clamp truck to handle materials and ensure all units meet quality and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Properly band all units and ensure load tags are visible during loading.

    + Conduct visual inspections to confirm straps are intact and undamaged.

    + Safely stage units in the warehouse and load/unload trailers.

    + Accurately count units and verify truck load documentation.

    + Follow all safety protocols and report any incidents immediately.

    + Complete monthly online safety training.

    + Read and interpret the Wet End run schedule to lay down correct paper rolls.

    + Safely drive and handle rolls per company guidelines.

    + Prep and peel damaged rolls; ensure damaged items are not returned to stock.

    + Prepare butt rolls for return to the roll room.

    + Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

    + Unload trucks or railcars as needed, following proper procedures.

    Required Skills & Experience

    + Proficiency with Clamp Truck, Clamp Forklift, Reach Truck, Stand-Up Forklift, and RF Scanner.

    + Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.

    + Ability to read schedules and operate equipment safely and efficiently.

    + Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

    + Excellent attendance and reliability.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
